I’m galavanting at a conference this week so, guess what? You get to have a taste of my recent vacation. It’ll be as good as a slide show! I promise! Hopefully a little better…
Our first stop in the mountains was just inside the park entrance to peek at a herd of elk. (That’s called a gang, by the way. Don’t you feel smarter now? I’m so glad I could impart some random knowledge today.)
Then we made a quick stop at an overlook to admire the view because one absolutely must do that in the mountains. (Yes. This was the second time I made my hubby pull off and interrupted our drive. But it was worth it, right? I mean…Look at that view!)
We arrived at the beautiful chalet where we would spend a week with all of my aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents on my Dad’s side of the family. Four whole Generations! (Don’t cringe! I understand. That many family members under one roof can sound a little daunting. But I have an awesome family and we had a great time!)
See? We love each other! (And this is just a few of us! See me in the pink shirt? I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be missed! Or lost in the scary woods that you’ll see in just a minute… )
Also, there were mermaids and penguins and bears. Oh my! But you’ll have to click here to see the rest at Middle Places.
