I promise this website isn’t a book review site. Even though I do love books and totally acknowledge my book nerd self. I just happened to get in on several all at the same time after months of nothing. I guess July is a good month to release a book.
Today over at Middle Places (I told y’all it was coming on July 10th) I did a book review for Kayla Aimee’s hot off the presses Anchored: Finding Hope In The Unexpected. And y’all…that book has definitely done the unexpected. It’s risen right to the top sellers list for its category.
I can tell you why. First of all, she has had an awesome support group helping her get the word out, both with her publishers and her online promotions. Secondly…the book is just that good and deserves that spot.
Kayla laid out her story of a birth too soon, mothering a micro-preemie, and her struggle to hold on to her faith in the darkest times. Just when I thought the story might be too raw to read any further and my heart was breaking for her and her sweet baby girl, she would suddenly have me laughing. And she did all of that without making me feel like I was being emotionally manipulated like some Sarah Mclachlan commercial.
So head on over to Middle Places, read the review, and then enter for your chance to win the book and a beautiful Gracelaced print that she commissioned for the release of her book.
