If you’ve got a girly blogger in your life or if you are one and need to pass your sweetie a few hints (Hey, honey…are you reading this?!) I’ve gathered a few my favorite things from around the web to help you as you Christmas shop. I know…Black Friday has come and gone, but today? It’s Cyber Monday. I present to you the Girly Blogger Gift Guide. Now go forth and buy all the things on the web. In moderation, of course.
PSA: Starbucks, iTunes and Amazon cards are the bomb diggety.
This post contains affiliate links. Because Christmas is coming. And I’d love to tell my hubby I’m operating in the black for the new year. It might be the best Christmas present I could give him! You can see my full disclosure here.
If you work on your computer all day like me, you might need to be exposed to raw, horribly ugly truth of how very little you have actually moved during the day. On my busiest days I might not even log a piddly 500 steps before lunch. OMGoodness. That is so not good. Not good at all. My husband also works from home and we tend to roll out of bed, grab a bite and head to our respective offices. Well, actually, I just head to the kitchen table. Because Blogger.
So I got a Fitbit Charge HR. My husband got the big mac daddy Fitbit and my daughter has the flex. We have fitbit wars. It’s the best. And it’s a great reminder to stay active during the day.

I love to listen to music while I write. If I’m stuck in a writer’s block I’ll add words and close my eyes, but otherwise I go for instrumental…classical, movie soundtracks, Boston Pops, Big Band and more. My iTunes is definitely eclectic. These Beats are on my Christmas wish list this year. Have you ever taken a moment to listen your music through an amazing pair of headphones? It blocks out the other noises and floods your ears with gorgeous sound. Ever since my last trip to the Apple store these have been on my list. Because OH.Mazing.

Coffee…because Y’all, I. Can’t. Even.
I adore this coffee mug. Because have you read my tagline and bio? I am a big fan of lavish grace. And sometimes that looks exactly like a cup of coffee. Don’t you think?
I also love this one from Dayspring…

Your Story Matters Necklace
I absolutely love this “Your Story Matters” Necklace by Lisa Leonard. I also have one that says “It is well…” I love jewelry that’s a little bit off the beaten path and means something special to me. It’s sure to resonate with the blogger girl in your life!
As previously mentioned, I don’t have an office. There’s a desk, but it’s not big enough to spread out. And the kitchen table is just not conducive to writing and creativity. So I love the idea of a lap desk. This one is on my list, y’all. I love that color!
T-Shirts with a Message
I love Sevenly. I love the causes they support. I love that they create awareness with amazing artwork and t-shirts. AND I LOVE THIS T-SHIRT. And every good blogger needs an Instagrammable t-shirt. It could be ironic. Or sassy. But this is the one that does it for me. (And y’all…this is just me loving something. It is NOT an affiliate link. If you’ve never heard of Sevenly before you’ve got to check it out. If you champion a cause, they probably make an awesome t-shirt for it.)
Also, t-shirts are my game. I spend a lot of time at home because of homeschooling, blogging and also the fact that I’m just a homebody. I have some nice things for going out, but honestly, most days you’ll find me with messy hair and a t-shirt and jeans and now that it’s winter…UGGish boots (because I’m also cheap and forever cold).
As I’ve been busily setting up my planner for the next year and working on my business plan, I have completely fallen in love with this wonderful resource from Tabitha at Inspired Bloggers Network. If you want to give your gal a gift that is practical, I highly recommend this! As a Type B girl, I can confidently say that this planner will work great for me, but I’m sure it has every list and an amazingly comprehensive organizational system that the Type A girl can appreciate as well. And if you’re a guy looking for a planner for your blog or you’re not so much a girly girl, I hear there’s a gender neutral version coming soon!
I just finished reading I’m Happy For You (Sort of…not really) and truly, she sings the song of my tribe. Snark, humor and a topic that I am often found struggling with in my own life.
As a blogger, I spend a lot of time on social media. It’s inherent with the job. And when you spend a lot of time on social media, you get to see all the wonderful things people are doing, the Disney vacations, the perfect outfits, the perfectly turned out children. You hear about all of the achievements of other peoples’ children, the job promotions, the success. And I am actually happy for those people! But sometimes I forget. Sometimes my inside voice gets the best of me with her trash talking. She’s very rude.
Kay is a mom of teens, tweens and an elementary child. With her honest stories covered in wit, she shares why our culture has become so full of the pitfalls of comparison and then she offers simple steps to overcome it founded on biblical wisdom. I love her conversational writing style and her ability to be so honest about her own shortcomings. Rather than diagnosing a societal problem and giving a step by step solution full of buzzwords and rhetoric, you get to walk through her own struggles and the answers she discovered along the way. That’s my kind of book.
