I got the best email from Karolina at KaboomPics a few weeks ago thanking me for featuring her site on my list of Free Stock Photo Sources. I absolutely adore her photos! They’re beautifully edited and she has a good stash of photos that fit what I’m looking for as she focuses on lifestyle, people, food and technology. And the fact that she has made them free for commercial use? It’s like a thick layer of cream cheese icing on top of the cake.
While I hope to start doing my own blog photography this fall, right now I rely on stock photo images. And they are often either very pricey or very cheesy. (Beware of the cheesy stock photos, my friends!)
I know I’m not the only blogger with a limited budget looking to cut corners whenever possible. I’m here to tell you, you can do just that when it comes to high-quality visual content on your blog.
Pinterest is filled with loads of photography tutorials for bloggers of food, DIY projects and more. But there are some of us who write content that just leaves us scratching our heads over what picture to pair with that awesome story or idea or blog tip we just wrote. And that’s where awesome stock photos come in. We can do this! I promise.
Free Blogger Stock Photos!
Let’s start with this. Karolina from KaboomPics has curated an exclusive collection just for the readers of A Problem Like Maria. How awesome is that?! When she asked what kind of photos you all would need, I told her that you all were mom bloggers, food bloggers, story bloggers and generally just girly peeps who like to write. To get this fantastic collection of photos, simply click the button or the photo below:
These photos, just like all of the photos on Karolina’s site, are available for commercial use. You can use them to create products for clients, as social media images, blog images and more. The only two exceptions are that you can’t sell them or redistribute them on your personal blog.
If you like this little taste of Karolina’s gorgeous photos, be sure click on over to KaboomPics. She adds new photos regularly and has some exciting new things coming to her site soon. I can’t wait to see how her site grows!
Note for Newbies:
If you’re a newbie blogger and you’re unsure about what images are okay to use on your site, please know that you can’t just do a Google image search, grab your favorite photo and use it on your blog. That could land you in some serious legal troubles down the road. Be sure to use picture sources that say they have a CC0 (Creative Commons, No Rights Reserved) license or that you purchase. You can check out this list for loads of sources that publish free stock photos:
